Thanks for the link. I'll probably try the recipe, but I'm rather unsure if I'd like it or not. The thought of the peppermint from the candy canes mixed with wine doesn't exactly give me the warm fuzzies.

I used to get some fantastic mulling spices at a winery in Paso Robles that closed a few years back. I've never been able to find mulling spices that have lived up to those.

I like to start my mulled wine with a very fruity zinfandel. Some of the cheap burgundy style California jug wines fit the bill, but I can't recommend any now. If I find a recipe I like I'll post it here.
