All I did was moved the styles from the page header to separate css page -- and now my page doesn't work any more in firefox. It still works in opera and msie. Yes, of course I put

Code:

in the page header.

Anyone know what's going on here?

there we go, i removed the stray quote

There's a stray double-quote character on pos 1 of your line, but I'm assuming that was just an accident when you quoted it. You can try adding

type="text/css"

So that you get

Code:

If that doesn't help, maybe there's something wrong with your css file. If you post the css file, we can have a look.

I don't see a stray double quote. Oh never mind, i see one in the veggieboards quote. it isn't in my actual file on the web server.

oh, here we go http://shakahara.com/index.html

in opera and msie, I can see a picture of canteloupes on the left. In firefoxx -- I can't

here is the old file, with the styles in the header of the document, instead of in a separate css file. http://shakahara.com/index.bak2.html

In index.bak.html, the canteloupes show up in opera, msie -- and firefox too. In index.html, the canteloupes do not show up in firefox. All i did to convert index.bak.html to index.html was copy and paste the style info from the file header, to a sepaate css file.
