hi to all <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/smiley.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":)"> does anyone know of where I can buy some vegan motorcycle boots from?<br>
I have been wearing my trusty vegan trainers for some years now but they are showing some signs of ageing and I really should wear proper biker boots when out on the motorbike<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=""><br>
I keep searching the internet but so far am having no luck <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/sad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":(">

Hi,<br><br>
I'm interested in this because my husband rides an R1 and all I can find is fashion boots, or non sport boots with little support for his ankles in the event of a crash (touching wood).<br><br>
But check out <a href="http://vrg.org/nutshell/leather2010.php" target="_blank">vrg.org/nutshell/leather2010.php</a>, they say sidi has some suitable boots, so may be worth an email.<br><br>
Heres another site: <a href="http://veganmotorcyclist.com/gear.htm" target="_blank">veganmotorcyclist.com/gear.htm</a><br><br>
Hope this helps.

All I've been able to find are vegan combat boots.

I have to say, this wass the only aspect of being vegan that concerned me. I was hoping the gear that I have which I bought 2-4 years before turning vegan, would last me the rest of my life, but from those links, I see I can buy full Kevlar suits which are race approved (although I would have to check that here). I have a track prepped Triumph Daytona 675 that I raced a couple of years ago, but just stick to track days now because of finances. I am well chuffed to see there is a whole range of gear. Thanks for the links Puddin.

Yeh, you definitely need some ankle protection cos your ankles are going to cop it if you come off. I've got B2's made by Sidi. They're really comfy for me and excellent for the dry conditions I live in, but if you live in a rainy climate, not so good cos they're not totally waterproof.

I had a revelation today! I was chatting to a motorcycle dealer and he said he loved my number plate as it had VEG in it as he was vegetarian and we started to discuss the massive cost of vegan footwear and then he asked if I bought my Sidi Vertebra boots after I turned vegan. I said "No, I bought them a few years ago, but they're leather!" "No they're not, they are Lorica" It looks just like leather, but it is completely artificial and has always had me fooled! Now I don't know if they are fully vegan as I don't know about the adhesives for a start, but it may well be worth looking more in to there company. <a href="http://www.sidisport.com" target="_blank">www.sidisport.com</a>
