Urge Your Senator: Oppose HB 46!
The Missouri House of Representatives has passed a dangerous bill that would make it more difficult for law enforcement to rescue abused and neglected horses and other large animals in Missouri.
Now the bill - HB 46 - has been referred to the Missouri Senate. Please help stop this bill by contacting your State Senator.
The current system works. Law enforcement officials statewide work with veterinarians and with the Humane Society of Missouri to investigate cases of cruelty and neglect, educate owners about proper care of animals, and rescue animals in distress.
HB 46 would create new hurdles for prosectors trying to help suffering animals. It would also endanger animals preventing their rescue until they are in "imminent danger of loss of life." This legislation could have tragic consequences for abused and neglected horses and other large animals. Click here for more information on this bill.
Please contact your State Senator and urge him or her to oppose HB 46!
After you take action, please tell your family and friends to take action on this issue. The more people who contact their legislators, the better our chances are of stopping this bill.
