I wish that I would have heard about the expo before this week! Unfortunately I'm scheduled to work and it's too late to get it off.

Yep, and I live right by Trader Joe's!<br><br><br><br>
Too bad I can't stay here. Couldn't find a roommate. Anyone know of someone looking for a roommate where I could move?

<div class="quote-block">Twin Cities make short list for national political conventions<br><br>
PIONEER PRESS<br><br><br><br>
The Twin Cities are on the short list for both the 2008 Democratic and Republican national conventions, the mayors of the two cities announced today.<br><br><br><br>
St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman and Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak talked up the Twin Cities' prospects this afternoon from the balcony of the new Guthrie Theater overlooking St. Anthony Falls.<br><br><br><br>
Representatives of the Democratic National Committee will make a three-day visit here starting June 26 to review the cities' joint bid, the mayors said.<br><br><br><br>
The two leaders pledged to showcase the cities, their attractions and their amenities.<br><br><br><br>
"As a Democrat or a Republican, if you really look at the next presidential election, you can see that it will be decided on the Mississippi River in places like Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Louisiana," Rybak said. "We haven't had a chance like this in 100 years, and no one will work harder than we will to get one of these conventions."<br><br><br><br>
Coleman agreed, saying, "We will continue to work together to show we are an ideal location for the DNC convention. I'm confident the DNC site visit will show our facilities are second to none and prove that we have a lot of excitement in Minnesota for the chance to host the convention."<br><br><br><br>
The Twin Cities are one of four finalists for the Democratic convention, which could attract more than 17,000 visitors. Other Democratic convention finalists include Denver, New Orleans and New York.<br><br><br><br>
Minneapolis-Saint Paul and New York City are the only metro areas on the short lists for both Democratic and Republican conventions, the mayors said.<br><br><br><br>
The 2008 Democratic National Convention, which would be held Aug. 24-29, drew as many as 11 bids, officials said. The Republican National Convention, to be held Aug. 31 through Sept. 4, drew bids from 30 cities.<br><br><br><br>
Republican officials are expected to announce finalists and locations for visits in coming weeks, although there were indications that the Republican team would tour the Twin Cities beginning Aug 3.</div>

Thumbs up!<br><br><br><br>
I couldn't find any other mention of this store in the threads, so I hope this is useful to somebody.<br><br><br><br>
It's my second trip this week to a newly opened grocery store, and this time I went to the new Fresh & Natural Foods near me in Plymouth. I think there's at least one other one somewhere in the Twin Cities. It's great! It's like Whole Foods in that it's expensive (although the sale prices were very good) but has a lot of specialty stuff (I think just about every product Quorn makes, Earth Balance, Rice Dream, lots of gluten-free), but it's not like Whole Foods in that it's in the suburbs, practically deserted, and doesn't smell like fish! I'll probably be going there from now on instead of Whole Foods for specialty stuff. Yay!

I live really close to a Fresh & Natural Foods, too (far east burbs). There is also one in Shoreview (north burbs). Be sure to try the gluten free vegan personal pizza by Madwoman. They are a local company. The pizza could be a bit lower in fat grams, but it is a really delicious treat!
