Hey guys, great news! Tomorrow (Friday, November 25th) is the grand opening of a new vegan boutique called Fast & Furless in St. Paul, MN. My friend and fellow EarthSave member has poured his heart and soul into this new shop for us. Please see http://fastandfurless.com for more details. Hope you can stop in and check it out! I'll be there all day doing makeup and demonstrating product.

Does anyone know of a good coffee shop in St. Paul to host a group gathering? I'm looking for a place to host my Arbonne meetings that is near a bus line, plenty of parking, vegan friendly, and somewhat nice...somewhere people in business casual attire would fit in. I think this may be a tough task...

If any Minnesotans still frequent this thread, this is your lucky day because I am here now! Just kidding, but seriously, I am Minneapolis raised and currently reside in St. Paul, and I am glad to have found a thread just for Minnesota veggies. I sometimes feel like I am the only vegan in the Twin Cities, as most of the people I know and come across are dyed-in-the-wool meat and potato folks. I love that we have so many vegan-friendly restaurants, but I think we are past-due for a few more all-vegan joints. Ecopolitan is wonderful, but it is definitely NOT the place to bring your non-veggie friends in an attempt to convert them. I get so jealous when reading on vegguide.org about all of the vegan restaurants in other cities. If I wasn't in college and planning on going to graduate school I would totally try to open my own!

It *is* my lucky day. I talk to myself a lot in here, so it's nice to have company.

The reporter who did the story on Fast and Furless wants to tag along for one of our veg dine-outs. Please contact me if you want to be on the list to get an e-vite. I haven't planned the event yet, but will do so for Feb. very soon.

Our dine-out is coming up this week! It would be great to see some VBers there!!

We're going to Udupi cafe. Please send me your email address if you'd like to get the e-vite.

By the way, if anyone ever reads the IL thread, notice how the VBers have joined their local veg meetup group and they are *always* dining out and posting pictures. Don't you agree that we should do that too?

I don't know that I'll actually be at the banquet- but I'm am going to help with the cooking from 5-8:30 tomorrow night.

I admittedly don't do much with CAA, anymore. I was a bit more involved a few years back. I'm just too busy with school, work, and my volunteer work at Planned Parenthood. I do like to help out when I have the time, though!

THX-1138, saw your post in the WI thread and your intro. I do recall being graced with your presence last spring at one of our Galactic Pizza dine outs.
