milk.

for the past 15 years of my life, i've been told how WONDERFUL this cow-derived product is for one's body, bones, and health, especially that of a teenager. i've figured out for myself that milk and dairy, in general, is quite gross. i really don't fancy drinking cow's pus and blood today, i saw a commercial about milk consumption and losing weight. the latter is quite appealling, but all i can think about are the bodily fluids of a cow which i'd rather NOT drink. i've got to try soy/almond/rice milk soon. any preferences for ya?

funny 'cause i saw the commercial while watching "rocky" (the first one, the best one). don't get me wrong: it's a great movie. however, the scenes in the meat market really, truly mad me gag!

I like the soymilk that tastes like vanilla. And regular soymilk. And chocalate soymilk. And well, pretty much all soymilk. Also there is this "Earthblend" stuff that has oats, soy, and something else. It's pretty good. My favourite for cereal is "So Nice Soyganic", and my favourite for drinking are the various vanilla kinds.

Milk does not help you lose weight. The studies show that calcium helps you lose weight. Milk is a source of calcium. Likewise, pizza has been said to prevent testicular cancer. This is false, as the studies have shown that lycopene, found in tomatoes can help prevent testicular cancer.

Just thought I'd point that out.

i put it in my oatmeal, and have eaten cereal with it, but i don't drink it plain. it's fine for those applications. pacific almond milk is grainy tasting. recently, i've been using almond breeze, but i haven't even tried it plain, so i don't know if it's grainy like pacific.

I've tried Almond Breeze (plain) before. It wasn't too bad. I prefer soy milk though.

Is it true that soy milk is better than cow milk? I know it would seem less disgusting to me b/c the cow milk has cow puss and blood in it. GROSS!

Quote:
