Every time I smell someone cooking it, I seriously want to puke. I get stomachaches, headaches, and feel dizzy. Everyone tells me I'm nuts, am I? Any of you have a similar reaction?

My gf sometimes cooks those thin pieces of red meat, and even with the ventilation over the stove on at full blast, it still makes the whole house stink. Luckily she only makes it maybe once a month. yuck.

The sea food isle in stores makes me want to gag... that smell is absolutely disgusting.

The beef and chicken isle aren't much better.

Barbeque wings... *covers mouth* YUCK!!! Sometimes my friends eat those in the cafe I sometimes take my sack lunch to at school, and I have to excuse myself to another side of the room to prevent some regurgitation of my own.

At least I think they're barbeque wings... they might be something else. Either way, I think it smells worse than the worst fart.

I live half a block from burger king and when the wind comes from that direction it makes me sick. I don't have to walk by the meat case at my healthfood store because they have kindly tucked in back in the far corner and I never go back there.

Fortunately, the store where I am unhappily obliged to work doesn't have a particularly smelly deli. I don't go in there unless I absolutely have to get something from there such as labels from a drawer.

Dizziness and headaches and the such, I haven't felt. I'm really grossed out to the point of wanting to chuck when I smell tuna, bacon, or anything cooked on a Forman grill.

Sometimes the smell of cooking cheese - like from a pizza or grilled sandwich makes me feel nauseated.

The smell of seafood really sickens me - i think if i got stuck in a fish market i'd either end up holding my breath until i pass out or else end up vomitting..

I've also found the smell of some lunch meats to be really disgusting.

The smells of other meats tend not to bother me, but i don't find them all that pleasant either. Sometimes i find some meat dish that someone's making to smell good, but then i realize it's because of the seasonings in it like garlic, onions, n' so on.

Sometimes i get accused of faking or over exagerating when certain meat/dairy smells start to make me sick .. i find that pretty irritating.

I think if people had to eat meat with no seasoning what so ever they would not eat nearly as much of it. They probably wouldn't want it at all

i greatly dislike the smell of meat cooking. I don't mind going to restaurants, because it's kinda temporary. . .most don'tsmell terrible. . .and the cigarette smoke in most of them covers it.

but, i greatly dislike the smell of fish cooking, which is common in my house and smells really bad.

I don't like the smell of flesh being cooked, but it doesn't make me ill or cause pain, like tobacco smoke does. I just figure if I were a combatant in a war, the smell of burnt humans would be all around, and wouldn't stifle my appetite for plant food, but the smell of chemical weapons -- notably tobacco and nicotine -- would make me instantly anxious to get outta there.

Yes, tobacco is a chemical weapon, and is a far worse thing to smell, on a battlefield, than burning human bodies, dead or alive.

*looks down* I think I still like the smell of fish... at least fresh fish, not the cooked stuff. On the other hand, I don't remember the last time I smelled fish other than the overprocessed overgrilled fish sandwiches that my friends sometimes get from the cafe at school.

There are these Eastern European people downstairs from me who are always cooking meat. It smells gross. But I admit, even if I don't like the smell always, it does still make me hungry. Just like pavlovs dogs, I guess. I still like the smell of bacon, though.

That is distinctly possible. My favorite aspect of the ocean is probably the smell of the salt spray.

I can't stand the smell of hamburgers, hotdogs, or fish. I like the smell of italian sausage. It doesn't really make me want to puke it's just one of those yucky bitter face smells, like when you walk past a dumpter or doggie poo.

God, honestly, what is it about that thing that makes beef smell so much different? Whenever my dad cooks burgers on that, the smell goes throughout the entire house. Sometimes I don't mind it, but other times it's just too much.
