So, I'm getting a new computer soon that is preloaded with McAfee.

I don't want it, so I need to remove it. As we all know, Add/remove programs rarely completely gets rid of AV programs, so I wanted to download Mcafee's removal tool.

The only site I can find that has it, is a third party site call "Mcafee removal tool.com." (Ii looked through the Mcafee site without finding it)

Since it's not accessible from the McAfee site directly, there is a possibility it could be a trojan horse...

So can someone provide me with a link from within Mcafee to that program, or a legitimate site (like Cnet) that has a link?

Thanks!

Because I currently have Norton Internet security on my old computer with 7 months left on the subscription.

Also, I've had issues with Mcafee in the past, and I don't want to deal with them again.
