What business does Mars, a candy-making company, have to do with animal testing?

Ive heard about this, and have yet to see a source that wasn't only from PETA, and I need a bit more than PETA to believe something

I think just it's not a surprise. It's a big and international company, they juste want money (more and more).<br><br>
I think it's right, I am not american (like Mars and PETA) but in France I study law and you can't lie about company if you do that (like here) and the company don't animals testing, you can go in prison (5 years) and give a lot of money (45 000 euros).<br>
But I don't know about american law.

Here you can lie about pretty much anything you want. Especially on the internet.

It would have taken less time for you to put "mars animal testing" into Google than to post your response saying you've never seen anything other than from PETA about it. Mars admits on their own website that they test on animals, and that's really easy to find, if you cared to (and you don't even have to click on the link to see it).

You can also get sued for lying, so there's a pretty strong disincentive.

Wow, this sucks! Why does a candy company test on animals anyway? Can't they just get human taste testers or something? I see no medical reason to test candy on animals. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/huh.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="">
