Thought this would be the best sub-forum to post this in.

This story made the local news. I figured my fellow veg*ns would best appreciate how disgusting this is...

http://www.fox11online.com/dpp/news/...,000th-big-mac

Quote:

That's cool. I love Big Macs! I've been able to duplicate one fairly well with boca burgers, but it's just not as good as the real deal.

I'm amazed he's alive.

According to my research, that's nearly 2 a day...

How perfectly revolting... Even as an omni I think I only ever at a BigMac once in my life.

He has OCD and as someone who also suffers from it, I sympathize. But that number of Big Macs IS disgusting. He also keeps the packages they come in.

I think I've seen this guy on the travel channel as well as Super Size Me.

Quote:

As soon as I saw that he saved all the reciepts and boxes for 39 yrs I figured he has OCD. . Honestly though I think it's pretty fascinating. I think it's disgusting that it's Big Macs and the saving boxes thing is pretty gross but it's amazing that he hasn't gotten sick of them yet.

Plus I love this :
I asked him once, don't you ever get sick of them?” Gorske’s brother-in-law, John Zeleske, said. “Donny said, ‘once in a while I eat one upside down. It tastes different.’”

I wonder what was keeping him away during those 8 days in the past 39 yrs that he didn't eat a Big Mac. I am also curious what his blood work reveals.

20.8, from this...

Quote:

A normal steer that weighs 1200 pounds will yield about 350 pounds of meat in steaks, roasts, etc. You could make ground beef out of all of that, or just the trimmings. If you use only the trimmings, then you would get about 75 pounds of ground beef. If each burger weighs 4 ounces, that is 300 burgers. It would be 1200 burgers if you ground up the entire animal as you would lose some weight to de-boning roasts, etc.

Even as an omni I wouldn't have been able to eat two Big Macs a day. I feel kind of bad for this guy. He's really obsessed. He even keeps the empty boxes and receipts. That part's weirder than him eating the burgers so often.

Yeah...the guy is mentally ill. I wig out if I am forced to deviate from certain routines, some of which revolve around food...so I really do understand where he's coming from. It's just too bad he has to be OCD about Big Macs instead of carrots or broccoli.

Well he doesn't have a very good sense of taste, literally he has a problem with his tastebuds:

http://www.fdlreporter.com/article/2...tone-next-week

people really like big macs though, my parents make big mac pate, it is truly vile!

that sure is weird. talk about not having variety in meals. as a vegetarian there is nothing i can imagine eating twice a day for a long time no matter how much i like it, as an omni i couldn't do it too.

their burgers aren't bad, i had a veggie burger there in winter. was pretty decent, but still..

I'm glad I'm not that guy's kid. He thinks all that trash he accumulated might be worth something and is wondering what his kids will do with it when he's gone. I have issues with hoarding, so I wouldn't be hanging onto any of that. My mom was a hoarder for years. Yea, I'd throw/give all that stuff away.
