It seems that there are far more females then males here so I was just wondering how big the difference was?<br><br><br><br>
Edit. I consider vegan to not eat any animal products or use animal prdoucts to the best of their abilty I consider vegitarians to not eat animal flesh (including fish and chicken!)<br><br><br><br>

Actually, I think an interesting related question, since nobody seems inclined to sound off about their gender, is how do you feel about letting people on the internet know your real gender? Do you try to remain gender-anonymous? Or do you actually represent yourself as a gender you're not to protect your privacy?<br><br><br><br>
I personally make no bones of the fact that I'm female, and it's usually fairly obvious by my nickname, Tess, and my avatars. I consider my femininity part of my identity, and I have no interest in hiding it.

I think maybe one of the reason people don't put their gender is that this is the Internet and some people like keep the anonymity that the Net can give them.

Yeah, I think that's part of the beauty of the internet, is you can be anything or anyone, so there's a lot of potential to leave behind things like gender and racial stereotypes. Of course, it goes both ways-- it also means that pedophiles can pose as someone harmless and lure kids into trouble. I've often wondered just how differently I would be perceived if picked a masculine name and avatar and tried to hide the fact that I'm a woman. Would people be fooled, or would my "speech" patterns give me away? And if I was perceived to be a man, would I be treated differently? But I've never actually done it, I think in part because my identity as a female is so much a part of me that I choose it even when I don't have to. And a lot of other people seem to do the same.

At first I was more concerned about hiding the fact that I'm in my fifties. I think it influences how people respond to you at times. My mind is so, still in it's twenties!!
