There is a fantastic all vegetarian restaurant that opened in Portland a few months ago called the Green Elephant. It has some of the most delicious well prepared veg food I've ever eaten. It's on Congress street just on the edge of the arts district. I highly recommend it. It's Asian\\Thia food and it's fabulous. I believe it's owned by the same people who own Bangkok Thia further up on Congress Street on Longfellow Square. It has quite a variety of vegan dishes as well. Their full menu is online at the website: Green Elephant.

Ahhhhh I LOVE this restaurant. It is my absolute favorite and I love that for once I look at the menu and I can eat anything on there. I love oriental style cuisine as well so that was an added bonus for me. The staff is super friendly and it just feels cute and cozy when you go in. Nice atmosphere and of course, excellent food!

The spicy won tons with spinach and soy cheese are a favorite among my friends and I.

Not at all! Double check the hours though, depending on what day you plan on going. I know they're closed Sundays and I think they're only open a certain number of hours per day, especially on Saturdays.

I had a GREAT salad there- I don't know if the menu changes, I was there about a year ago- but it was a salad with mock meat, and I am still thinking about it. It had I think lemongrass, basil, etc. FANTASTIC. I am having trouble accessing their website right now but it was really good.
