Geez, I lost more weight than I thought, over the past 2 or 3 weeks, due to having difficulty standing up over the sink to wash vegetables, and cook food, and to walk to the supermarket and back.

I think I lost about 12 pounds. Down to about 130, from about 142.

There is nothing whatsoever wrong with my appetite! I see food advertised on television, and it makes me feel like devouring half my neighborhood! But if I get up to make something, I have to lie back down before I can finish making it.

Sorry if I've missed something... are you sick? Recovering from surgery? Hope you're feeling better soon. Don't forget clear fluids

OHHHHH... never mind... I saw the other post
Well, the "hope you're feeling better soon" still stands! Or sits, as the case may be.

We totally have to take some money out of the vast VB resources (which have been doubled as of late, right?) and send forth Kreeli to aid Soilman. I'll watch her kids if that'll help... no wait, Soilman will want to meet them, right?

The other apartment in my 2 family house hasn't been rented yet. I'd generally prefer having people living there who are considerate of my need to avoid smoke, and animal dander, and other air pollutants, coming from the next apartment into mine. It seems to go right thru the walls. He's having a hard time finding non-smokers, he says.

Things seem to be conspiring to make the wait before I can get my hernias repaired longer and longer, whilst the longer I wait, the more things fall down around me, whilst I can do less and less about them.

Of course he has no obligation to help me get hernia surgery in any way; I guess what I am saying is that it is just making me sad that he cares more about getting a fence to improve the appearance of the house than he cares about getting a fence to keep my abdominal organs out of my scrotum.

I can understand why he wants to buy a nice 6-foot high spruce stockade fence instead of a chain-link fence; but he doesn't seem to want to understand why I want to have 6 meticulously overlapped layers of native tissue, held in place with a strand of thin stainless steel wire until they grow together in a planned manner, with predictable strips of scar tissue where they overlap -- and the wire can be easily removed should an infection develop, without causing further damage in the process of being removed -- instead of a 4.5 centimeter by 10 centimeter (or larger) piece of plastic mesh, that serves as a large surface-area trellis for lots of scar tissue to grow around and thru -- and once that happens cannot be removed from me without risking damage to nerves and blood vessels that will then be impossible to find, buried and lost amongst large slabs of the scar tissue as they will be.
