Looking for help with treating a snail

Hi, today ive found an adult garden snail with a big brake in his shell,and i took him to my house, putted him in a tank with coco husk substarte ,humidity{spraying water every few hours} and food. Its not the first time im doing this and i always thinking that i want to have more info and tools on snails and on how to treat them. So if anyone here has any info/know somone who migh has{like a biologist or something} /know of articles or other info sources ,please share here. TY
