So I've lived in london for close to 3 months now and kinda just got settled into a normal job, I have a place to live 5 minutes on train from london bridge and I was basically just wondering, where do I go to meet people? I mean I love my boyfriend and everything but I need more human contact besides him :p
I have good control over the english language so it's not really the language barier stopping me, more that I just don't know anyone in the city and I'm a bit shy :p

I will put this here too. Have you thought about going to the London Vegan Festival? It's on the 21st August (at Kensington Town Hall, London W8 7NX 11am - 8pm Entry : £2.)

There are London vegan meet-up groups. http://www.meetup.com/londonvegan/

I've never been to a London meet-up through that website but I know people that do go to them and they say everyone is really friendly.

I haven't done any vegetarian meetups, but the vegan ones I did went great. And I'm sure nobody will hate you if you're vegetarian; especially if you've got a vegan boyfriend ^^

My vegetarian friends come along to vegan meet ups with me sometimes. It's never a problem, we generally don't talk about being vegan much, we just want to go places that serve good vegan food while we chat about everything else The London Vegan Fair is always good to go along to, I'll be going this year. Otherwise I'd suggest taking up a hobby/sport/course, loads of opportunities to meet like minded people there.

If all else fails you could turn to the good old trusty internetz >_<

FWIW, we know someone who attends lots of vegan meetups in London, though he's from Oxfordshire too, and he says everyone is really nice. I'm sure you wouldn't have any problem at the meetup, it's just that all the food would be vegan.
