Animal Rights Australia recently came out with an explosive investigative video about the conditions in Indonesia's slaughterhouses, that has caused the Australian government to suspend export for six months while they try to figure out how to address the horrors that ARA was witness to.

http://www.abc.net.au/4corners/speci...aJune2011enews

I will warn you that if you choose to watch the video, your heart will break. It is awful and graphic.

Besides this whole stinking issue, what has me totally PO'd, is that you hear nothing about this on mainstream news in this country. In Australia, this industry is the source of $350,000,000.00, so a suspension even for a little time is incredible and not a word here. Not even marvelling at the 'strangeness' of a government that would think of doing this for the sake of animals, nothing. Mind you, I don't recall hearing anything about Australia's decision to end live sheep transport to Egypt a few years ago for the very same reason, heinous cruelty.

I guess that there are some things that are just more important for the newsmakers/reporters to chase after.....like 'is Angelina Jolie anorexic or back on heroin' or 'how silly is Donald Trumps hair' or........

I must have offended all the Angelina Jolie lovers here (or maybe fans of Mr. Trumps).
