Kind of a pointless thread, I know, but what the hey, I like lists.

I watched Walk the Line a few days ago, was inspired. I was wondering how many of these biopics have been made. I'm sure my list will omit a few.

Supposedly it contains a bit of 'revisionist history' but it's an amusing film with a great soundtrack.

Hehe Jen - Thanks. I had that in my list, but took it out. He also played piano, so yeah, I guess it qualifies.

There's also The Five Pennies which stars Danny Kaye as cornet player Red Nichols. I've never actually seen it, but I grew up watching Danny Kaye movies, so I've known about it for a long time.

Not to mention The Glenn Miller Story, with Jimmy Stewart playing - you guessed it- Glenn Miller. That one I have seen. It wouldn't be too bad, except it has June Allyson playing his wife, and she's way too annoyingly perky.
