Anyone here familiar with lampwork/flamework?

It's the art of crafting glass in flame. There's more to it than just that. The flame is an oxygen/propane mixture. There's firing the pieces in a kiln. There's etching. And there's sure more that I'm forgetting.

An old lady friend of mine, Joanie, is recently retired and is now full-time on her hobby of lampworking. She's extremely talented IMO and specializes in birds, a rarity in the lampwork world.

Anyhow, if you give her shops a visit and tell me what you think, it'd sure be cool. Thanks

Good-looking stuff! She apparently is doing pretty well at it, since almost all of the stuff on the rookmoore.com site is sold out!

I like her work. I haven't seen a lot of bird lampwork beads.

I really, really want to learn lampwork/glass blowing, all of it.
