Isn't lactic acid derived from dairy? How can a product claim to be "dairy free" if lactic acid is part of the ingredient?<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/huh.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":confused:">

I can be made from plant sources.<br><br><br><br>
just ask at the manufacturer.<br><br><br><br>
It's just something they discovered the first in milk and started to call it "lactic..."

Lactic acid is a product of metabolism, and can be made by bacteria, plants, and animals. rigamarole is right about lactic acid being produced in your muscles during exercise.<br><br>
best bet: ask the manufacturer what the source is.
