ahhhhh what do i do i have anorexia and yoghurt is like the biggest part of my meal plan .......... i dont like soy milk and yoghurt i dont know what to do , just more food i have to take from my diet! what can i substatute it for???????
Freeze fruit, or buy bags of frozen fruit and blend them in the blender with a frozen banana and a little liquid.<br><br><br><br>
It is thick enough to eat with a spoon, and is sweet and desert like, and has a relative low caloric value (all fruit) while being loaded with vitamins and fiber.<br><br><br><br>
If you let it warm slightly it could be more like a smoothie - it isn't a perfect replacement to yogurt or icecream, but it is pretty good and healthy.<br><br><br><br>
Also: try adding cashew butter and raisins on top for even more fun!
if you haven't tried all of the different kinds of soy yogurt, i recommend trying them with an open mind. there are several brands: whole soy, wildwood, silk, nancy's, o'soy(stonyfield farms), etc. and they're all different from one another. maybe you'll find one you like! there are TONS of dairy-free foods out there, and many of them are delicious.<br><br><br><br>
if you have ED issues, part of the process is going to have to be addressing that. i do hope you are able to get some help.
Get help for the eating issues first and formost!<br><br><br><br>
Try something besides soymilk (there's a million threads on here about what sort of milk substitutes people prefer, but it all comes down to a matter of personal preference).<br><br><br><br>
Try the soy yogurts (again) and mix in some of your own fruit puree (or plain old fruit preserves or jam) to flavor it a bit.<br><br><br><br>
Has a Medical Professional diagnosed you with an actual dairy intolerance? Not that it's all that great for you anyway, but just wondering if you're seeing a dietary specialist of some sort to help with food choices...

I also would ask which soy yogurts you tried. Stonyfield's O'Soy yogurt is fantastic -- AND they make a chocolate flavour!! :yum:<br><br><br><br>
I'm not a big soy milk drinker myself, but I like rice milk quite a bit. There are also some soy milks I like better than others. They all taste different (the different rice milks I've tried, however, I haven't really noticed a difference in).

If you're just lactose intolerant, yogurt should not be an issue. The way it is made somehow alters the chemical structure of the lactose so lactose intolerant stomachs can digest it. I need to look up some sources, but when I was diagnosed as lactose intolerant (before going vegan), the only dair I ate was yogurt as my doctor said it was fine. It never upset my stomach. If you have a milk allergy, it's different though. Could you try soy or rice ice cream? Or smoothie made with soy, almond or rice milk?<br><br><br><br>

the Dr said i cant have any milk or milk products? he said no yoghurt<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/sad.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=""> so i think ill stay away from it for awhile!
