Okay, so to fight off bouts of...low self-esteem, I've been telling myself that my body's just fine and I'm just like all my friends...but my one friend started talking about her jeans size, and other friends joined in.

So, my question is, in juniors sizes (I don't know if that matters, and i'm assuming the fact that I'm in USA matters), what's the actual size difference between the numbers?

I'm not sure, but something really important to remember is that sizes vary from brand to brand. For example, I am a size 7/8 in American Eagle jeans, a size 9 in Wet Seal jeans, a size 11 in some brand that I can't remember, and a size 13 in the old l.e.i. jeans. Now, of course I'm the same body in all of those jeans, but the brand companies tell me I am anywhere between a 7 and a 13! That's a big difference in number of sizes!

The point I'm trying it get at is don't worry about what the tag says. And don't worry about what your friends' tags say, either. Your body is beautiful no matter what number the brand company made up for you.

To get an idea of the difference between waist/hip measurements for sizes, check out AE's site:

http://www.ae.com/web/browse/categor...navroot=womens

Most brands have their sizing charts on their websites.

I wear like three different size jeans, like veggiejanie says, it doesn't really matter what size you wear. For instance, I have friends who wear like size 3's, but they're not healthy at all. I wear bigger sized jeans, but I'm healthier than them.
