January Challenge

As far as I can see, October was the last time we had a challenge up! Sorry, guys. I'm starting this one for anyone who wants to join.

For those of you not familiar with the monthly challenge, members interested in changing their health, weight, exercise, etc often post their goals and track their progress here.

I'm still deciding on my goals for January (and for the year) and I won't have control over what I eat, nor a place to exercise, for at least another week. But I'll post my goals then, if I have internet by that point.

Happy 2012, everyone!

I'm going the wrong way... This has not been a good 7 days for weight loss...
My goals for the next 2 months:

-Cook more from Appetite for Reduction
-Drink more water again
-Fit into my size 5 pants
-Exercise 3-4 times a week, even if it's only for 15 minutes.

Goal weight: 130.
Current weight: 136
Weight for most of my adult life: 113-123.
I'm in the club too I guess. My ideal weight is also 130 too, Heather! Currently I'm at around 140, but before the holidays, I had gotten to 136.

I've been working out a lot lately, and my weight hasn't changed, but I feel thinner. I've been doing a lot of strength training, so maybe that explains it.

My goal for right now is to:
-Work out 4x per week. Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and then one of the weekend days at least.
-Cut down on alcohol. I got to the point where I drank out of habit/boredom, but now I've only had one drink since New Year's Eve.
-Bring lunch to school. I share an office now, with a microwave and refrigerator, so I really have no excuse.
-Keep using Sparkpeople whenever possible. It really helps keep me on track, especially when it comes to eating enough protein.

Hopefully, I'll be down to 136 again by the time January is done.

My ideal weight is 123 again, but baby steps

I definitely have more definition on my body from my waitressing job, but my hips and waist line are just not my friend right now. They're evvvvvvvvvvvil.

Feeling a little better today, but sleeping for 10 hours might have something to do with that.
It's 2pm and I'm not out of bed yet... should go make lunch.

Lungs are definitely in no shape to exercise today, but after lunch I'm going to clean the kitchen and do laundry, which is at least movement. Might end up being actual work, too, since I haven't tested my inherited washing machine yet, and I heard it's not great; so I might end up hand washing, and I'll have to hang everything afterwards anyway.

I am joining today myself, i need to lose over 100 pounds and I have these goals.
To beat pre cancerious sells in my uterus
by doing that is to knock out most animal fats , exception on occasional small amount of natural butter, yogurt and occasional eggs.
Eat more whole grains nuts and and salads and fruits and veggies.
Get out of eating pizza, greeasy foods, high sugar stuff, no High fructose corn syrup.
Walk at least 30 mins per day either at the malls, outside or inside my place .
Get a good nights rest and decent amount of sleep
Eat a wholesome high fiber breakfast .
I'll add more later.
That's great, PVL!^

Lungs slightly better today, but I've had nasty tummy trouble since last night so I've been too weak for real exercise.
But I did eat lots of fruit yesterday, and I did some walking today, too. Trying to drink lots of water today - I put rehydration mix in it so it tastes funny...
But still hoping to feel strong enough to start actually exercising in the next few days!

Lost about 4 pounds I think (it keeps changing, I'll think they're gone, then they're back again!). It's amazing and also ridiculous how having slightly less mass affects my sense of self.
I've been useless again.

I ordered a new smoothie maker and I bought lots of fruit and greens but they didn't deliver it as it was sold out and it seems to be sold out everywhere! Also I thought having a dog would increase my exercise level but he only seems to need a short walk every day.

I'm going to use my exercise bike later. I haven't done it in ages so I don't know how long I will last.

Well I had a bad start to this month, but I'm back on track. I'm running regularly and even started with some weights today...
I am having a bad start I am stressing over this pre cancerious stuff and I am tending to eat things one of them I just ate two luna bars grrrrrrrrrrrrr just now and i am going to bed in a few mins.
Hugs to everyone having a hard time of late and congrats to everyone who's staying on track.
I've been pretty good the last week or so. I got in all the exercise I wanted to last week, and have started off on the right foot this week as well. And, I lost 3.5 pounds for the week. Happy, happy, happy to see that number drop instead of rise
. I tracked all of my food, even my sort of bingy day on Saturday with the family (drank too much alcohol -- so much sugar), but I got right back on the horse on Sunday, eating-wise. I'm still working on the water, but I've been managing at least 32 ounces a day, so that's not awful. I also walked 6 miles on Saturday as part of my training for my hiking trip
.

Finally managed to exercise today!
Quite painful, though, seeing as I'm an asthmatic with a nasty cough living way above sealevel and I have a bruised rib so it's hard to move one side of my body...
But I made it through about 2/3 of my 25-minute workout. Doesn't sound like much, but it's better than I've been managing.

Too sick to work out. Trying to drink more water, I've been failing miserably at that.
OK so I was doing so well and eating really well and healthily and not too much, not too little. Really good. But I'd cut out crisps in an effort to be healthier which meant I wasn't really getting salt from anywhere and this might sound weird but I was completely off all day yesterday, weak and faint and completely unable to function and I think it might possibly have been salt deficiency maybe. So that led to me today having 2 packets of crisps on the way hope and then a slab of chocolate covered marzipan to counteract with sugar. So there was 1000 extra calories I really didn't need. Bum
