I came across Jainism in my research on the link between religion and veg*nism. Jainism are an ultra peaceful people. Out of all the religions that I read about, this is my favorite (along with buddism). There's a ton of links here:
All I know is that there are thousands of them in India, they've been vegan for a couple thousand years, and that when some moved to Britain in the past century they quickly got sick because Great Britain washed and processed it's foods so much more than they did that they weren't getting any B12.
