If I get drunk and lay down on a bed, I am not asking to be raped. If I am drunk and get into a car, as a passenger, I am not asking to be killed and I am not any more responsible for a car accident than a sober passenger.
lol, this is just stupid. if you are getting in a car with a drunk driver you are taking the risk and you are responsible for yourself. he doesn't have Ryan to blame for his death, just himself

lying on the bed isn't the same. sleeping doesn't result in being raped
i don't give a **** about illegal. even if the driver is responsible for the accident, the person who got into the car with someone who is drunk is responsible for his own death

people really try to make evryone a victim, besides the person who is approved to hate on of course. because nobody should be using his own brain anymore
both were dumbasses and they paid the ultimate price. i never drink and drive, unless i'm having one beer or glass of wine over several hours. the second drink, i'm not driving. i never ride with someone who's been drinking. they both could have avoided this.

if you take foolish chances, then you may suffer consequences. at least it's fortunate no others were injured. otherwise, i see so much death that this kind of thing has very little impact on me, other than reinforces my beliefs about mixing alcohol and driving.

I have sympathy for him, just not as much as I do for people who get hit by drunk drivers. And I don't understand why someone hasn't learned better by age 34.

if i get killed driving drunk at 140 mph, you have my permission to withhold all sympathy and pronounce me a dumbass. it's just fortunate he didn't kill anyone else. ain't natural selection wonderful?
Here are my thoughts:

- I don't drink and drive because if something were to happen...like I hit a child in the road...even if I blew a .01 I would always wonder if it could have been prevented if I wouldn't have drank.

-That being said, I think if you have a drink or two in an appropriate amount of time etc, etc, you shouldn't be bashed on. This can be different for everyone. Some people can have a drink and it doesn't phase them, some people are wasted. Before you get behind the wheel you need to know what type you are.

-BUT there is definately a point where you know that even if you don't "feel drunk" you probably are (having a handful of drinks or shots). A neighbor of ours will drive wasted home from the bars because he has vet plates and has never gotten pulled over..which he thinks may be attributed to the plates. I have b****ed at him numerous times and told him just to call me but he insists that hes a better driver drunk than sober. It doesn't help that his girlfriend says the same thing about him, but considering she's probably drunk "riding" and can't really tell how his driving is anyway because if she's sober she should be driving. Regardless of how "good" you think you are, you can't be "good" at having fast drunken reactions. The biggest reason drunk drivers crash is not because they are driving crazy (usually) or "bad" but because you aren't able to react as quickly.

I don't feel sorry for him, but then again i never feel sorry for dead people, because they are dead. i feel bad for his family and friends though, and i'm sad he died because he didn't seem like an evil person or anything. The passenger is just as stupid and deserved it just as much, Ryan wasn't asking to be killed either, i mean as far as we know. There is certainly a difference though between trying to hurt someone and just ending up hurting someone by doing something stupid. It's just plain sad that all he had to do was call a cab, a friend, a family member, or walk if he could, and him and his friend would be fine. I will definitely call stupid people that died out, or bad people, MJ i still said the same thing when he died, i felt no differently about him, and the kid that got himself killed by hopping two fences to retrieve a hat at an amusement park and got decapitated by a ride, i think he's just as dumb, if not more because there were signs with warnings, but at least he had the excuse that he was a teen and his brain wasn't fully developed, Ryan should have learned by his age, but he's done such stupid dangerous things it made him think he was invincible.
