I bought this at Clark's Nutrition because I'm trying to go vegan and Green Tea ice cream has always been a favorite of mine.

I took it home... tried it... and hated it
Big flop! Doesn't taste good at all! My boyfriend, who eats any and everything, doesn't like it.

Wanted to share with you guys my opinion before you spend $4 on it

Green Tea Ice Cream...
I decided to go Vegan last year around my birthday... went out to sushi, everything was well, then my future MIL ordered green tea ice cream.... it was my birthday, I just couldn't pass it up!

I wonder if they taste test their products before they put them on the market...

See, now you've made a whole bunch of ice-cream loving vegans curious and they'll want to try it out anyway.

There's a such thing as green tea ice cream?

You can tell I don't eat much ice cream, huh.

I thought it tasted very strongly of seaweed.

I've been meaning to try my hand at making my own. I'm wondering if some matcha green tea 'powder' in some vanilla soy or rice "ice cream" will do??

Yes. I've made ice cream shakes like that before.

Can't wait to try it! I have to order the matcha online though and that seems to be keeping me from jumping on it

Yep! I can't describe the taste either... it's just one of those things. It's YUMMY.

I've tried other vegan ice creams and a few were good, especially the Double Rainbow cherry chocolate chip
Bought some Rocky Road kind too, it was okay... didn't taste like much.

I've been meaning to try Soy Delicious ice cream myself. I wonder if the other flavors will be okay?
Oh thanks for the head's up...looks like I'll be sticking to chocolate.
The Soy Delicious Purely Decadent flavors are the "premium" flavors, and really good. Different people on VB have their favorite flavors among the bunch. I'm currently in love with the Mocha Almond Fudge. In fact, I'm going to marry that flavor. You're all invited to the wedding!

YAY! So... you're not going to be serving Soy Delicious at your wedding right... it would be a form of cannibalism!

I've tried the chocolate and vanilla... didn't care for the vanilla while the chocolate tasted like brownies
Still didn't eat it, ended up tossing it.

Oh yes, believe me! They do.

And then after the market research and all, they do a huge "final" taste test vote at the Seattle and Portland Veg-Fests (at least they did at Seattle this last year).

It was interesting to hang around the booth (hoping to snag yet another sampler) and hear people's opinions and see how they voted. They were voting on the coconut one, the pomegranite chip and the orange-creamsicle flavor if I remember right, plus some other one that I remember I hated... I don't remember what it was but I haven't seen it in the stores, so my vote counted... right? right?

A lot of people didn't like the orange-creamsicle flavor which surprised me!
How did this one get past the taste testers? I'm serious though...the green tea is not good.

I want to go up there for the Veg-Fests!!!! Sounds fun!

Yes, your vote counted
Sometimes it's hit or miss with animal product replacement foods.

I'd die a happy man if I could eat fried soy green tea ice cream after a meal of edamame, tofu and broccoli.
