I want to try an electric shaver. I'm thinking of getting a panasonic one for women but I've heard ones made for men work even better. Is there anything I should know first, in regards to vegan issues?

ive heard that too actually from some people, like not as close of a shave. if so, ill just continue with my preserve triple blade razors.

I wanted to try an epilator as a waxing alternative, but i dont think i could handle the pain.

i hear moom (waxing alternative - i think its sugaring?) is really good but i just doubt my abilities to actually do it correctly without making a mess. its only 15 bucks though so i may try that

thinking of stealing my dads braun electric shaver to try it out, dont know if he'd appeciate that though lol

Braun is like the lawnmower of electric shavers! I can't use rotary ones because my beard doesn't grow all in the same direction so I end up with patches. One thing you will notice is that your skin will get irritated the first few times you do it, stick to it and it will be ok. If you use razors every now and then it will be a pretty persistent issue.

I've never liked seeing shaved arms on a girl. It kind of looks......unnatural. I guess you could say shaved legs aren't natural, too, but it just doesn't look right, because it isn't the norm.

Oh okay...?

I can't stand body hair on me, and I hate having hairy pits. Off with the hair!

I'm fully supportive of any woman who chooses to be naturally hair though - rock on my hairy sisters! ^__^

And shaved pits aren't the norm? Where the hell do you live ? Most girls in the united states shave their pits. o_O

Edit: I misread. You said shaved arms, not arm pits. Lol well how would you be able to tell they are shaved? My mom has very little body hair and her arms are pretty much hairless and baby smooth. If someone were to assume she shaves her arms, they would be incredibly wrong. Her genetics just leave her with less body hair than mine lol same story with my best friend, basically hairless, smooth arms. I don't think I could tell if someone shaved their arms....
