http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/ag-gag...ry?id=15816805 The bill seeks to make undercover investigations of livestock facilities illegal. A number of other states have similar legislation on the table which could be a huge step backwards for animal rights. Please, if you feel so inclined, write the governor of Iowa either by phone or by mail and tell him to veto House File 589. This isn't just an Iowa issue as it could have large implications. 1007 East Grand Ave. Des Moines, Iowa 50319 Phone: 515.281.5211

It's pretty much a done deal that it's going to be signed into law.

Utah is close.

Illinois, New York, Minnesota, Indiana, and Nebraska are still pending to my knowledge.
There are these two email-activism things for Illinois: [1] [2]
Minnesota: [1]
New York: [1]
Indiana: [1] [2]

NOW it's a done deal (as of March 2). Hopefully it doesn't hold up in court.

I think Big Ag is shooting themselves in the foot with these bills by throwing the fact people find it necessary to document abuse into the public eye. I can't imagine many judges will actually persecute people who take footage of animals being abused. Some, but not many. Not enough to uphold and enact this.
