I am relatively new to vegetarianism, and am a lacto-ovo vegetarian. I made a commitment for ethical purposes, and try to drink soy milk instead of dairy, and try to get free-ranged eggs if at all possible. I also wanted to see if I could go without meat. I have nothing against non-vegetarians, but do strongly feel that Americans eat more meat than they should, which led to the commitment. I am also a university student, and am working on a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. I also love reading. :-D
At any rate, I hope to troll around this site more, if you do not mind. It seems friendly enough and it does not seem like many people are at your throats for either being a vegetarian or not being a vegan. ^_^ I had both sides burn me on the journey, so I am relieved this place is more welcoming.
