Hi all -<br><br><br><br>
I have been lurking for a while, and finally decided to sign up and jump onto the VeggieBoards myself.<br><br><br><br>
I have been vegetarian since I was born. I love to travel and discover new cultures, and have been lucky enough to have lived in a number of different countries/continents. Anyway, I am looking forward to sharing opinions and experiences with the others on this site.

US, UK, Central/Southern Africa (being vegetarian here was a bit of a challenge - try finding veggie burgers in an outdoor market...). Now I live in Switzerland. I found that being veggie was incredibly easy in the UK compared to the US (even though I lived in big east-coast cities which, I hear, are easier for veggies than some other parts of the country).<br><br><br><br>
I've been lucky enough to travel around to a number of other parts of the world as well (I know India well), and would love to discover various countries in West Africa in the next couple of years.<br><br><br><br>

Laela, welcome to VB! People are always asking for advice around here about how to be veg*n in various countries, so feel free to jump in with your advice. (Veg*n is the phrase we use to mean both lacto-ovo vegetarian and vegan.)
