I went to bed at around 10 PM the other day, because I was feeling sick. For me, that's about 2-3 hours earlier than usual. I woke up 8 hours later, which is also very early for me, and for three days now, I've been going to bed at 9:30 - 10 and waking up before the sun rises. Given that I normally call myself nocturnal and an insomniac, this is just plain weird. I'm not sure what to think of it.

Of course, it's currently 10:30 PM, and I'm not really tired yet, so maybe I'll go back to my normal patterns before this weekend is over.

I'm seriously contemplating bed and it's only 6:18. I did only get 2 hours of sleep last night though

Hey now! Maryland is a balmy 24 degrees. Come visit me in the negatives (-24 in the wind) and we'll see if you don't start curling up to die---ooops, I mean sleep---too!

God, I don't want to go outside tomorrow. To work. The schools are closed. I sure wish my office would see the light and follow their lead.

We're currently at 5.4 degrees F with a wind chill of -9....it's 6:59 a.m. and I should be getting ready for work but I can't bring myself to do it because I just want to stay home cuddled up with my furbabies. I wish I had the nerve to call in sick but we're really busy. And I mean, come on, my name is karenlovesSNOW not karenlovesTOBEFREAKINFREEZIN'!!

All the school districts in a two-county area here are closed except for the one I'm supposed to go to today for an event. Of all the luck...

I was planning to get some work done at home day, but my poor furnace can't keep up with the cold. The best it could do all night was 63 degrees. I just wish I was getting insulation in the attic earlier than this Saturday. I left with my work computer and went to a cafe. On my way out, I turned down the furnace as far as it will go without turning completely off. The people in the apartment below me have their furnace up enough my pipes won't freeze or anything.

I think we are more like our fur babies than we know. We are trying to hibernate. Seriously. My old Dad says the colder and shorter the days the more even humans try to sleep. I seem to be proving that to be true.
