i told u a long time ago that i was going to become vegetarian but i had a few bumps along the way. So i need some non-animal rennet cheeses and other stuff. I might actually stick with it this time since i have this forum now. and back then i didnt know this existed. i know parsman cheese is out.

Congrats!
If you stick to it, you'll be doing a fantastic thing for animals, the planet, and human health (including your own).

That's awesome! Here's a list of companies that produce rennet-free cheese: http://cheese.joyousliving.com/CheeseListBrand.aspx

Remember these words. Reasons, not rules, make us strong. It's my mantra. It's what I live by. I apply it to everything, including my veg*nism. Don't worry if things seem hard or if you slip along the way. Keep trying, keep caring.

Well done! I've been vegetarian now for 5 months and I find it's getting better and better. Only challenge I have is dealing with people. They can be ignorant and nasty at times.

I am finding that people sometimes get defensive about eating meat. I never get defensive about eating veg. I don't feel like it needs defending, that the evidence speaks for it's self. When meat eaters get nasty I look for their motivation. My theory is that they see my vegetarian lifestyle as a condemnation of their lifestyle. It's not intended to be that. And, I never finger point and get self-righteous. So, I can only assume that at some level they feel guilty about their choices. I think that it causes them to have to think about where that meat came from and they, deep inside, don't feel good about it. Otherwise, why would they care what I do? What would be the payoff of trying to rip me? So, I just have compassion for that person knowing that people come to enlightenment in their own time.

Your life sends a far more powerful message than your words.

I wish spiritual leaders would learn this lesson..
