Ended up going on Sunday, and it was awesome. I was not expecting such a huge crowd. I'm sure a lot of people were there just because it was a free festival, but still. A much bigger deal than I was expecting.

There was a ton of great food. I got a crazy good vegan BBQ plate from Soul Vegetarian for lunch - BBQ tofu, greens, mac and cheese and corn bread. If I'm ever on the South Side, I will totally be checking them out.

Definitely going again next year.

It is an amazing time. I wish they had one every weekend, but then I would be in debtors prison. I tend to spend a lot of money there. The weather was a little nasty this past year, but I still had a blast anyway. There's so much to do, see, eat, and the entertainment is fabulous. Make it a point to go, you won't be sorry.

Regardless of my post in here from 2010, I never actually made it to the 2011 Veggie Fest.
But it's probably more likely I will go to this years.

But anyway, yeah, Chicago VeganMania is awesome. I went to the first one and the one last year. I believe this year it will be at a different (larger) venue.

Chicago VeganMania was awesome, too. I ate a crazy amount of food at both events.
Yeah, I was planning on going to VeganMania, but cancelled last minute because I was broke (had just moved). I KNOW I am going this year.
