Cheetos, Doritos, Triple-cheese pizza...I'd buy a loaf of bread w/o checking the ingredients...Hershey Symphany chocolate bars...Honey-nut cheerios...A big salad smothered in w/chunky blue cheese & french dressings (makes my mouth water just to think of it!)...

A big bowl of cheerios, a frosted poptart, a reese's, lots of toast and jelly, honey nut cheerios, non-vegan granola bars, all those meat analouges that are slightly not vegan )contain egg whites, ect) meat still sounds gross, though. So none of that.

I don't think that I can truly post here because mine would be a huge prime rib - medium rare (almost bloody) - on the bone so that I can gnaw on it when I 'm done.... ... and a baked potato smothered in sour cream, butter and cheese. Brownie ala mode served on a hot platter from Texas Land and Cattle for desert.

No point in ME getting into these thoughts..... those days are gone for me forever.....

btw, don't bother posting a bunch of these.......I know that I'm not the normal Vegan on these boards when it comes to what I truly like to eat.

If it would also guarantee that I wouldn't get a stomachache afterwards (which ALWAYS happens whenever I decide to let myself eat any dairy):

pizza with lots of feta on it (mmm, salty...). Cheetos. homemade mac & cheese casserole (the kind with cottage cheese, sour cream and cheddar cheese in it).

enchiladas. tamales. lasagne. nachos.

seared ahi tuna with wasabi. grilled salmon with garlic, lemon and capers.

sashimi.

reuben sandwiches.

sometimes I miss eating stuff like that... but then I remember just how disgustingly unhealthy I was, how gross I always felt, and the fact that I ate *animals*

Ah, those were the days, weren't they?!! Going to the grocery store and putting something in the cart without thinking twice. I certainly didn't spend as much time in the store as I do now!

If all foods were vegan for a day (AND allergy free), here's some of the things that I would have:

* Medium rare steak with a baked potato drowning in sour cream and butter and a fat salad with blue cheeze dressing on top and some garlic bread. A brownie cake or a chocolate decidance (sp) cake flooded in hot chocolate would be the dessert..

* A 4-cheeze pizza with extra cheeze and cheese stuffed in the crust. The crust would be dipped into bluecheese dressing when I was finished with the pizza. For dessert, I would have a big scoop of ice cream with chocolate sauce poured on and mounds of whipped cream piled overtop.

* Real baked mac N cheese with gooey cheese stringing out and butter-moistened bread crumbs on top before baking served with cheezy bread

* Cottage cheese (large curd) with tomatoes or pineapple cut up in it.

* BLT with thick-sliced bacon fried crisp. I would prolly toast the bread with the bacon fat, too and THEN pile on the mayo.

* Shredded beef taco with cotija cheeze, shredded beef fajitas with cotija cheeze, beef chili rellanos, shrimp enchiladas, seafood cazuela, shredded beef tamales.

* Ribs smothered in BBQ sauce that goes everywhere.

But the days of actually eating this stuff are long, long gone - never to return (yea!).

I second the tiramisu. Also, a Wendy's cheeseburger (oh, the shame).....Kraft macaroni & cheese.....Mrs. Fields chocolate chip cookies (still warm).....fries with cheese & gravy from a diner.....tuna fish sandwich on a Thomas' english muffin....Ben & Jerry's cookie dough ice cream. I'm sure I'll think of more. Geez, if I did eat all this stuff in one day I'd gain about 50 pounds .

Well. I can go through all the trouble of making these things vegan...and they're not really appetizing to me..just things i liked a lot in the past...so it's not like I'm "secretly harboring deep desires to escape my vegan life" or something crazy like that. It's just stuff I really liked as a non-vegan. It doesn't appeal to me now, really, eh.

So...if these things were vegan, I'd have lots of pizza, a bacon, egg, cheese, and sause on a biscuit breakfast sandwich, a box of chocolates, a bag of those Harry Potter every flavored jelly beans (hey...you have no idea how curious I am!!! ), stromboli, salad with blue cheese dressing, philly cheese steak, grilled cheese, a hot ham and cheese sandiwch, an open faced tuna patty melt, sour gummy worms, that gum with the zebra on it, and those porcini raviolis wit a creamy red sauce type thing from the Olive Garden (I don't know if they still sell it or not). More chcolate--probably lots of Gertude & Hawk, I loved their stuff. Creamy peanut butter pie, tootsie rolls, mint chocolate cookie ice cream (cookies, not the flat chip stuff!), and chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, and Reeses Peanut Butter Eggs. Then I'd probably have eaten so much I'd never want to eat again.

May I extend the fantasy to include calorie-free as well??

I would have a cheeseburger (last time I had one I was about 8) and a vanilla milkshake. And definitely pizza.

Cheese pizza, Nachos, a veggie sub with provolone and that salty vinegary type mayonaise....lots of it, manicotti, canneloni, fettucini Alfredo, fish sticks with tartar sauce, eggrolls (the greasy Chinese restaurant ones) and fried rice, that Chinese restaurant dumpling soup, country style meatloaf with gravy, german chocolate cake, cheesecake, my mom's Jello bundt cake (which I had to smell and watch them eat the other day....even my son begged to have some and then left the room and pouted). Did I mention cheese pizza? Curd subji (my old fav. from the temple....yummy...with creamed spinach...). Halava...another buttery, sugary favorite. It is amazing.

Oh, the list goes on and on. But I am OK- so many things I can make vegan.

Oh....Key Lime Pie (I could eat a whole one when I was a kid. I would sit down with the whole pie, in front of the tv, and just eat it with a fork). Anyone seen any vegan key lime pie???

Side note:

I watched a small, pretty girl sit down and eat an enormous burger last night. Something about the scene just struck me. She finished it in about 5 minutes. And I thought...a lifetime (well, actually a fraction of a normal lifetime, but still a relatively long time) of misery and a brutal death for another living, feeling being for 5 minutes of enjoyment (she ate it so fast I can't imagine she had time to enjoy it, actually).

This thread is funny! When my boyfriend and I talk about this, we refer to it as "going down with the ship", as in:

"If I were going down with the ship, I would eat a cheese pizza."
