I'm not the greatest fan of PETA, but still..

You could have a film of some kid/adult(?) eating some sausages, except you play the film backwards, so you start with an empty plate, and the person takes stuff out of his mouth and the plate fills with sausages(etc), and then the film goes to the food counter(in a canteen) then to the kitchen, then to a lorry, then to the slaughter house then to the farm...perhaps the ad could end with a scene from Babe, I haven't seen the movie, but I thought there might be a good clip from it.

Anyway, it might make people think, and wouldn't be about naked women.

ETA: oh, perhaps the words "give up meat" could be shown at the end..

That's actually kind of neat. Have you told them? Or Mercy for Animals, maybe?

LOVE that idea. You should see about making it yourself though, uploading it to youtube.

PETA wouldn't do it, there are no naked celebrities or sensationalist claims in there

Good idea though, I would write to some other organisations and suggest it.

This is a great idea! You should send the idea to some organizations!

I don't remember it at all but I remember asking my mom, after seeing the film, whether animals died (naturally) before we ate them. So naïve - thinking back - but really, it's hard for kids (and some adults) to connect the dots. It was definitely a seminal moment. I never was comfortable eating pork afterwards and I became veggie years later.

PETA does all kinds of ads, and they'd be more likely to do it than any other group I know of - most of which don't do even do ads.

I think it's a creative idea and kind of reminds me of the body bag pet ad PETA had - in the sense of being not very graphic, but made the connection between purchasing behavior and animal death very clear.

In fact, I can't even think of an ad I've seen by another group. I think Mercy for Animals did some? But they don't get promoted as much.

I like it too. PETA does good work, but in their ad campaigns, they need to focus more on the actual issues than on some naked model.
