A new study claims women who eat ice cream every day have less trouble getting pregnant. Give me a BREAK!! I just have to wonder if the Dairy Farmers had any hand in this study?

Fortunately it sounds like scientists are skeptical, but it seems any study ends up making people go overboard with that product.

So if I quit eating ice cream, does it act like birth control?

Head hurting...too many jokes.

Maybe it's just because the ice cream puts them in a good mood, so they're more likely to meet the Chubby Hubby. (or would that be the Chunky Monkey?)

Quote:

I saw this study somewhere and completely ignored it then. I think that if it does improve fertility, it is due to the immense amounts of hormones pumped into the gestating and lactating cows. This is close to the same way that humans do things if they are infertile, but injesting cow hormones just doesn't seem all that safe, especially for someone who would like to keep a fetus safe and healthy.

The headline's a tad misleading, since they were comparing people who consumed low and high fat dairy, but not no dairy at all. They also didn't actually show a correlation between low fat dairy and lack of ovulation, so chances are the subjects who were infertile and consumed low fat dairy were underweight. The also apparently consumed less servings overall.

I always thought ice cream was a form of therapy for women who haven't found the right guy, so how are they getting pregnant?

And I'm thinking based on the info in another thread, that soy ice cream would mean your baby would be gay?

Considering that I got pregnant within six weeks of the wedding WITHOUT ice cream (and at a time when our chances of conceiving were supposedly less than 1 percent), I guess it's a good thing that Ben and Jerry's doesn't occupy space in our freezer.

Bread may be bad, bad what's worse is a potent drug called dihydrogen monoxide (HOH). Ingesting the drug may lead to pleasant but brief feelings of coolness and wetness in the mouth, but people hooked on it die of withdrawal, called "dehydration" within three days of ceasing its use. Studies have shown that in warm environments addicts began begging for it in only a few hours. What's worse is that every living organism on Earth gets hooked on it the day they are born!

And do you even know how bad for the environment it is? It is the cause of all hurricanes on earth. Every lake and ocean in the world cotains substantial amounts of dihydrogen monoxide, the government must ban this chemical before it destroys the planet!

Luckily I don't have to worry about fertility. I come from a long line of "fertile turtles" and I don't even want kids of my own ... so ... w00!
