I've jsut come back from university and haven't seen my cat in about 6 weeks.

Shes definetly lost weight, but this does tend to fluctuate with my kitty and its not worryingly thin.

However shes sleeping LOADS I mean obviously cats sleep alot, and shes 10 now but shes been sleeping I'd guess about 20 hours a day.

I've only seen her get up to do her toilet functions eat and drink.

Probably because shes so sleepy shes acting all sluggish as well.

Also her toilet functions... well she has dirroeah. And whats worse is shes decided she wont use the litter tray anymore. Its not a case of shes to weak to get to it because she poops NEAR it and never in my own bedroom but still its a bit odd.

Because of this my Dad says she has to be supervised and sleep in the kitchen overnight.

I've missed my cat dreadfully so I've been keeping her in my room with a litter tray overnight but she wont use it and just begs to be let out so I have to put her in the kitchen.

She has a basket in the ktichen but I'm partly wondering if she doesn't sleep in the kitchen and thats why shes always so tired?

Do you think its worth taking her to the vets ? Any tips on how to get rid of this stomach thing?

Wow, yeah. Definitely take her to the vet ASAP. Diarrhea, old age, not using the box... she definitely needs a check up.

Let us know what the vet says!

I agree, she should see the vet. Hope she's ok!

Definately a vet! We could all assume a lot of things that could be wrong--but a vet is where she needs to go. And yes--do let us know what he says.
absolutely get to a vet asap. it could be nothing but it could be something, why risk waiting? i've taken my critters in for less.

while 10 is not OLD she is starting to get on in years and any change in her typical behaviour could be a bad sign.

i hope it's nothing serious, please let us know
