What types of foods are you eating? Try including nuts, nut-butters and avocados in your diet. Cook with olive oil. Enjoy dessert

As for not exercising, not sure if that's the best idea. I have a similar problem in which everyone thinks I need to gain weight. As it turns out, my weight is healthy for my build. Are you sure you need to gain more lbs? You could try doing strength training exercises to build up your muscles. Muscles weigh more than fat after all. That's what I tried, although I didn't keep it up long enough to see if it actually helped me gain weight.

ETA: Regarding iron, try cooking stirfries and whatnot in a cast-iron skillet. It actually adds iron to the food. And make sure you drink coffee separately from meals; it reduces iron absorption. I got into the bad habit of drinking it with meals and my iron levels plummeted. Instead, you could include vitamin C rich foods, such as orange juice or tomatoes, with your meals to help increase iron absorption.
i already eat all the things you listed.

i usually exercise minimally, but i have been unable to exercise for 3 weeks, yet i lost a few pounds. everyone keeps asking me if i have lost weight and my pants don't fit. i was just wondeing how that could happen when i haven't changed anything except my activity level.

oh i am 5 ft tall BTW...
Pasta, bread, and rice are fairly calorie-dense. If necessary, you can limit your low-calorie veggies to make some space in your diet for those.

When I need to pack calories (preferably without junking out), nothing beats the old peanut butter and honey on whole wheat sandwich.

Also, drinking calories -- smoothies for example -- can get your calorie count up without making you feel significantly more full.
So you are not exercising, and you are eating the same amount of food and you are losing weight? when did you start losing?

if you are losing weight despite trying not to or trying to gain, i can think of a few things that could be wrong, have you had a physical lately?
no i haven't had a physical. wugh. people keep telling me to. i hate doctors. but i guess i gotta bite that bullet.
