As for not exercising, not sure if that's the best idea. I have a similar problem in which everyone thinks I need to gain weight. As it turns out, my weight is healthy for my build. Are you sure you need to gain more lbs? You could try doing strength training exercises to build up your muscles. Muscles weigh more than fat after all. That's what I tried, although I didn't keep it up long enough to see if it actually helped me gain weight.<br><br><br><br>
ETA: Regarding iron, try cooking stirfries and whatnot in a cast-iron skillet. It actually adds iron to the food. And make sure you drink coffee separately from meals; it reduces iron absorption. I got into the bad habit of drinking it with meals and my iron levels plummeted. Instead, you could include vitamin C rich foods, such as orange juice or tomatoes, with your meals to help increase iron absorption.
