I've got two new veggie heads in training!

One is a good friend and the other is my boyfriend (YAY!!!!)

I didn't even do much to sway them into shunning meat so it makes me happy that they are giving it a try.

ESPECIALLY the BOYF! We are about to move in together so I think it's sweet.

I hope they both stick it out!!!

All in all it just warms my heart to know that I've influenced some people in my life in a positive way.

Anyone else "coverted" some close friends or significant others?

My ex went vegan shortly before we split. I'm sad to say I don't know if he has stuck with it or not, but I have a feeling he didn't out of spite.

that's awesome!

My girlfriend went veggie after we had been going out a while, which is pretty awesome. My sister went veggie because I persuaded her to try it for vegetarian week and she just kept it going. One of my friends went veggie for a while (I don't remember how long exactly...5 months or so?) but gave it up recently. My dad isn't veggie but eats largely vegetarian these days.

Great news.

My husband isn't veggie but he does eat more vegetarian meals than he used to. He's cut down on meat intake quite a bit since I became veggie.

Good to hear! My wife is slowly going vegetarian scince I made my overnight change a few weeks ago. It's not often she eats any meat. It is usually only when we go out, but I don't think it will be long until she rules meat out as an option.

i think we influence people every day. the results aren't always obvious or immediate, but we plant the seeds. sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse.

Well, I watched "meet your meat yesterday and it was very upsetting, horrible. I told my wife about it and thought she should watch it. My reason was that if she was going to continue to eat meat she should see where it was coming from and what she was paying for. She couldn't do it after just hearing the details I gave her. She just looked at me and said, "that's it, it's over, I'm done." "I'll never eat meat again!" I was so happy. She said just making the decision made here feel great, that the years of being a hypocrite were gone. This is the woman who would save worms from drying out on the sidewalk after a rain, but would eat meat. Im so glad she has become a vegetarian. Im very happy and so is she.
