I've only made a few recipes from there, but still love both the chickpea cutlets and the leek and bean cassoulet. My hubby really liked both of them

Have you browsed the Veganomicon thread? There's reviews and pictures in there for a lot of the recipes. I probably wouldn't do anything with seitan, tempeh, or tofu ince I generally steer clear of those things for hardcore meat eaters with little veg exposure.

Hi there. I have heard great things about this book and am considering getting a copy. Would you mind letting me know if it has a lot of soy-based meals? I don't eat soy and am looking for a great book that has a lot of vegan recipes made without soy products.

Thanks in advance!

Same here. For hardcore meat eaters I usually do something simple and familiar, like a meatless pasta. They tend not to appreciate the yumminess of seitan/tempeh/tofu.
