Me: Eating yummy onion bagel with margarine.

Friend: "I just couldn't do it. I can't eat plain things."

So that was my first time having someone tell me that they "can't" eat vegan food -- at least not without a dairy or meat component.

Hell, I used to feel the same way.
Sure seems weird now, though.

How is an onion bagel plain? And since when is it "vegan?"

I've been eating bagels for decades. Granted, I don't eat cream cheese anymore, but that's the bland part!
