I know that obviously the cod liver oil is made from fish (and covered in gelatine), but I was reading my glucosamine last night and it says that it contains products derived from shellfish.

Does anyone know of any alternatives that I could take? I pretty much need them to keep my knees from seizing up and the doctors refuse to treat my knee arthritis at the moment.

I don't know of options personally, but what i the fish oil supposed to do in relation to the knees? I know glucosamine works pretty well actually.

I got vegan glucosamine online. It also contained MSM which is supposed to maintain joint and connective tissue health.

ETA - just noticed you are from the UK. It was ordered from Veganicity.

Ah, that's good to know! Excellent website. Thanks so much. A lot cheaper than Holland and Barratt and Health With Herbs (I've only just looked). A bottle of Vegetarian Glucosamine was £30! :0
