Yay As you can tell from my title I am very happy. This is because my mom is considering going vegetarian. This started when she saw one of my leaflets about factory farms that I had just gotten in the mail ( honestly I didnt leave it out purpose ). It described the apaling conditions inwhich animals are forced to live in. When I came home later in the day my mom told me. She said that even if she doesnt become a vegetarian she is going shopping tommorow for free range eggs ( its better than nothing ) and is going to get some more meat substitutes ( we already have some but not alot as it is just me who eats them and my mom tried them and said they werent to bad so she is going to buy some more for both of us ). It may not be a big deal for some people but this is the same women who gave me the hardest time ever when I first became a vegetarian. So anyway I just wanted to let you guys know how happy I am and that peoples opinions of my being a vegetarian have finally started changed!<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/rockon.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":rockon:">

That's really great news! The farthest I've ever gone in turning my parents vegetarian (not very far at all) has been this:<br><br><br><br>
In 2000:<br><br>
"It's just a phase, she'll grow out of vegetarianism soon." [Tries to sneak chicken into my veggie fried rice]<br><br><br><br>
Now:<br><br>
"We respect the fact that she is vegetarian and will always remain so, and we will no longer try to impose our beliefs on her." <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/grin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=""><br><br><br><br>
