I've been a vegan (some times vegetarian) for about 6 months. I found out I had high blood pressure, and decided to change my diet. A vegan diet has been the only effective, healthy diet that I've ever tried to move to. It's simple for me (I don't want to count calories every day or schedule meals out), I've lost weight, don't feel mucusy, and I've taken more of an interest in preparing my foods and in the way that food tastes.

So far I've mostly been making a lot of stir-fried dishes, especially cabbage, and lots of quinao, nutritional yeast, fruits and bread, and take a multi-vitamin with B12 every day. I'm really interested in branching out, though, and taking the time to acquire some new recipes and ideas in preparing vegan foods.
