Most hunters are very big about "starting them young." Hunting groups have had little success recruiting kids from nonhunting families. Hunters realize if they want to keep their "pastime" alive they are going to have to put a weapon in their offsprings' hands as soon as possible, and start conditioning them as hunters even earlier.
Cabela's (the huge hunting store) even sells Realtree camo baby onsies and bibs! For toddlers there are tiny shirts that say things like, "Daddy's Future Hunting Buddy." Hunting toys and videogames only serve to reinforce the hunting mindset as the child grows.
