i know it is crazy... altering humans as well as food!

i wonder why humans think they can improve on mother nature (God or whatever you think made all of this). it is insane for people to think we are better at this then the creator. i am shocked people are so willing to believe man knows better and just accept anything being sold as being ok for us. the idea that it would not be available to buy and eat if it was bad floors me. who would have thought fish genes would be added to strawberries.. now i can not eat a strawberry any more because i always think about it not being the way it was orginally designed.

maybe one day people will stop standing by and excepting whatever they are told as the truth. i for one believe nature knows best and if a strawberry did not have a fish gene it was because it was not suppose to have a fish gene.

Maybe strawberries WERE supposed to have fish genes, but mother nature ran out when she made them. She had to special order the fish genes from the Lands End catologue, and they were on back order, and her deadline was coming up.

So, several million years later, she remembered her mistake and caused Monsanto to be born. You see, all Monsanto is doing is what the earth is telling them to!

BTW, tomatoes have those genes also. Make sure you get your seeds from non-GMO sources.

A fish garden?

One day, I'll have a beautiful aquarium in my home...

I'll go to feed the fish...the little cherry tomato swims quickly to the top to gobble up the food...the three African Fighting Strawberries follow it, push it out of the way, and greedily devour the large morsels, as the Tropical Beefstake Tomato (a bottom-feeder) grabs what gets past the strawberries. Before I walk away, I tap the glass, and my two favorite fish, an Alaskan Roma with lovely fins, and an Atlantic Banana Trout come over and rub their noses and stems against the glass.

Maybe this isn't such a bad idea!

Trav,

You must be smoking something pretty potent to think up that!

I agree that people are just going way too far. I quit working at the Natural Food Store a couple weeks ago. It was getting to me too much. Everybody always wanted a quick fix. I thought my job was suppose to be about promoting health, but it was about selling merchandise to make money. Then a rep for one of our product lines would come in and tell us all abouthow great their new products were and how they were practically miracle workers. My co-workers listened in awe and of course bought the products then immediately recommended it to customers. I just sat at those meetings waiting for them to be over.

And don't even get me started on the crap the bodybuilder takes!

HGH sells really well too.

Grr! I'm so glad to be done with it.

Wow, Erin, bummer. Most good co-ops and natural food stores staw away from crazy suppliments and stuff. The one in Tempe was great, all the workers and heads of departments were incredibly knowledgable on whatever their area was. We had bulk herbs and spices, and the dept. head there seemed to know everything about every one of them, and how to take it, and what it would help cure.

I hope I can find a good place to go with smart people in charge when I move again.
