Don't know if this is the right place for this but figured, after all my soap box type comments, maybe a little light reading was in order!

http://www.veganstreet.com/funhouse/...evolution.html

I know the article is made in fun, but this one I truly believe.

i think it's inching towards improvement, especially if this petition works to get all labels to state whether it's vegan or not. and even the fact that some brands do and there are vegan shoes, it makes me all giddy inside to think that vegans are gaining some power.

i definately think that within the next 50 years eating meat will be like smoking is today. it will be legal still, but the vast majority of people won't do it and will kind of look down on it and it will be quarentined. people are definately progressing towards vegetarianism now and as vegetarianism becomes the norm i believe alot if not most of them will eventually become vegan, especially as it becomes so much easier to do so.

keep in mind at one point doctors ENDORSED smoking too.

Until school children are heard to say "I can't believe people really used to keep non-human animals in their houses, and on giant "farms," -- the vegan revolution will not have arrived.

The end of slavery did not arrive when children said "I can't believe people used to treat their slaves so poorly." It ended when they said "I can't believe people used to keep other people as slaves."

Not only did doctors "endorse" smoking, in general, but before that, they prescribed smoking as a specific treatment for relieving the symtoms of asma!

Smoke free here too, Dec. 2002! After many attempts over the years this one finally took!

And what is the link for in the post above? I tried it in three different browsers but it doesn't open in any of them.

If you take the s out of the URL you get a company called BioShield, is that what it is supposed to be?

There was an add in the new issue of The Vegan.

(magazine of the english Vegan society)

The advertisment said: Odourless Vegan Paint.

That made me cheer!

Strange thing is that the page takes very long to open and then the internet filter from the companies says: Forbidden etc. (?)

I'm going to have to check the url from a different computer.....
