Does anyone know how soy milk is made?

I read that soy milk is high in aluminum because the soya protein isolate that it is made from is acid-washed in aluminum tanks. Now is this old news and have things changed or is this just Bull S__t?

I bet it depends alot if it's organic or not, probably no different than how they make rice, almond & oat milk.

None of the containers of soy milk I've bought have had soy protein isolate on the ingredients list.

I've been looking at soymilk makers lately and the process starts with soybeans that have been soaked in water and then they're ground up, mixed with water and cooked. Then flavorings, sweeteners and thickeners can be added. Or the soymilk can be made into tofu.

yeah...soy, rice, nut milks are all made basically the same way. You soak the desired object in water for a while, and blend with water. It's more complicated than that, but that's basically the process.

Excellent information, thanks everyone. I do not like using overly processed foods if I can help it. Simple, real food is best. I like to know that I can make soy milk at home right from the beans. Thanks a bunch.
