I put them in the fridge in the summer (high humidity here; things will rot overnight), and leave them on the counter in the winter (if it's cold enough to see your breath in the kitchen, that produce isn't going to rot any time soon!

I think some people don't like to keep produce in the fridge (especially tomatoes), but I usually do it. Plus then, in the summer, my food is nice and cold. If something is lukewarm, I'm probably not going to eat it because I basically eat for the sole purpose of cooling down. Can you guess it's hot here?
