I got red food coloring on my brand new white shoes. I got most of it out on the outside of my shoes.. but it got on the cloth and I cant remove it. The person responsible states that it can come out if washed with regular detergent. I even tried... but it didnt come out.

What can I use?

And I didnt put it in the washing machine in fear of damaging the sole, thread, and cloth of the shoes.

I would try nail polish remover, rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or bleach. Bleach should work really well.

Thanks! I'll try the bleach.

I also noticed where I tried to take out the food coloring on the outside of the shoe, its hot pink now.

Just make sure you don't use too much. I'd dab it on. And make sure you rinse it really well. Bleach is very caustic and can do damage to fabrics if left on for too long.
